Crib Chronicle

Put Crib Chronicle on your home screen

There's no app store download. You add it from your phone's browser, it takes under a minute, and then it opens full screen like any other app, even with no signal.

iPhone

  1. Open Safari and go to app.cribchronicle.com. (If you were sent an invite link, open that instead.)
  2. Tap the Share button: a square with an arrow pointing up. On newer iPhones it may be inside the ⋯ menu at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen. If you don't see it, tap View More or Edit Actions at the bottom of the list.
  4. If there's an Open as Web App switch, leave it on. Tap Add.
  5. Open Crib Chronicle from your home screen and sign in there. On iPhone, the home screen app keeps its own sign-in, separate from Safari, so you'll sign in once more even if you already did in Safari.

Using Chrome on iPhone? It works too: tap the Share button at the top right, then Add to Home Screen.

Android

  1. Open Chrome and go to app.cribchronicle.com. (If you were sent an invite link, open that instead.)
  2. If Chrome offers to Install the app, tap it and you're done.
  3. Otherwise, tap the ⋮ menu at the top right, then Add to home screen (or Install app), then Install.
  4. Open Crib Chronicle from your home screen. You'll still be signed in.

Using Samsung Internet? Tap the menu (☰), then Add page to and Home screen.

Joining someone's baby

If a parent sent you an invite link, open it on your phone and create an account or sign in. You'll be asked to join, and the baby appears once you do. Invites work once and expire after 48 hours, so ask for a new one if yours has.

On iPhone, it's simplest to join in Safari first, then add the app to your home screen and sign in there; the baby will be waiting. If the baby doesn't show up, go to Settings and tap Join with an invite code, using the 8-character code from the invite message.
