Privacy policy
Last updated October 13, 2026
The short version: we collect what you log so we can run Crib Chronicle for you and the people you invite. We don't show ads, we don't use tracking tools, and we never sell or share your information.
Who we are
Crib Chronicle is operated by Brune Technologies LLC ("we", "us"). You can reach us at info@brunetechnologies.com.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address and the name you choose to show to people you share with, plus your display preferences (units and theme). Your password is handled by Amazon Cognito, our sign-in provider; we never see it.
- Your baby's details: the name, optional birth date, time zone, the hour your baby's day starts, and how your baby is fed.
- What you log: feeds, sleep, diapers, notes and growth measurements, with who logged each entry and when. When an entry is edited or deleted, earlier versions are kept as part of the log's history, so changes can be synced and undone.
- Sharing: who has access to each baby, their role, and invite codes while they're unused.
- Early-access list: if you join our waitlist, your email address.
- Service logs: our servers record basic technical information about requests (such as the time, the request and your IP address) to keep the service running and secure. These logs are kept for up to 30 days.
On your device
So the app works without a connection, a copy of your data is kept in your browser's storage on your phone. Signing out deletes it from that device. We don't use cookies.
How we use it
- To run Crib Chronicle: storing your log, syncing it to the people you share with, and showing totals and trends.
- To send account emails, such as sign-in and verification codes.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the app is used (for example, how many families are active each week), using our own records. We don't use third-party analytics or advertising tools.
- To email you about early access, if you joined the waitlist.
Who can see it
- People you invite. Caregivers can see and edit your baby's log; viewers can see it but not change it. Owners can remove anyone at any time.
- Service providers that run the app for us: Amazon Web Services hosts the app, stores the data, handles sign-in and sends email. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when you open the app or this site.
- When the law requires it, for example to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect someone's safety.
We never sell your information, rent it, or share it for advertising.
Where it's kept and how it's protected
Your data is stored in the United States (Amazon Web Services, Virginia). It's encrypted in transit and at rest, access is restricted to the people who run the service, and only members of a baby can read its log.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep your information while you use Crib Chronicle. To delete your account, a baby's log, or your waitlist entry, email us from the address on your account and we'll delete it within 30 days. Copies in our backups are removed automatically within a further 35 days.
Children
Crib Chronicle stores information about babies that their parents and caregivers enter. It's meant to be used by adults, not by children.
Your choices
You can see and edit everything you've logged in the app. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing info@brunetechnologies.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
